Soil Tests, garlic, potatoes

In the 90's all week. Ugh. Most of my time spent at the garden now is watering. Several times I couldn't water adequately due to lines for the water

Potatoes: Dug up 18 more pounds of potatoes today to make room for the butternut (which is forming fruits now up to 6" long, very rapidly). I'm up to 35 lbs of potatoes so far, and there is more to dig up. I need a root cellar!

Soil test results: Plot one is OK but could use a bit more potassium, phosphorus and organic matter, no lime. Plot 18 needs 28 lbs of lime as well as potassium, phosphorus, and organic matter. Today I added the rest of the fire places ashed in plot 18, and more 10-10-10 on both plots. [Update: added rock phosphate to both plots.]

Garlic: pulled up about 45 bulbs a couple days ago, some smaller, some larger.  [edit: Guy Beardsley says I have German Porcelain and German Red Garlic - mostly nice big cloves)

Tomatillos: harvested 10 fruits and made salsa verde, which disappeared already.

The first bush beans have small beans on them already.  The more recently planted bush and pole beans in plot 18 are about 4-5" tall.
