Woodchuck!

The woodchuck wasn't falling for the trap bit, even with cantaloupe inside, so I resorted to the Caddyshack technique, and stuck a running hose down the gopher's tunnel (which was in Sal's plot).  After a couple minutes he floated up to the top and I let Biscuit have a go.  She frantically plunged her head into the water and dragged him out.

I really didn't expect this would work, and was unprepared. As the two of them fought it out, I grabbed a bucket from the neighboring plot and stuck it over the woodchuck. Biscuit began eating the bucket and pulling little white pieces of plastic from it, trying to get at the woodchuck inside.

After a bit, I manage to turn the bucket over a bit and let the woodchuck escape...straight into Tom's big Havaheart trap.  I was afraid the woodchuck was going to hurt Biscuit, and had to keep her tied up, but as I write this, she is still beside herself panting and whining for the woodchuck.  Good job, Biscuit!! That's #4 for her. I took the woodchuck for a little ride and let him go at the sewage pump station on Beard Sawmill. Hope that was far enough. I was going to go farther, but the Biscuit was lunging toward the trap and I was afraid something bad was going to happen in the car.
