Winter cold moving in for good tomorrow, it sounds like, so I dug up the last of the carrots, beets, rutabaga, and parsnips. Lert four parsnips for next spring. Transplanted lettuce to grow in the basement.
The beets were way too small. The carrots were small, but big enough to eat as baby carrots. Next year start them earlier -- in July. Many of the parsnips had multiple roots, which was disappointing since we screened the soil.
